Editing The Footage

We first started of by making the film rating shot in photoshop cs6. We also used Photoshop to make our production company Logo as seen below.

After filming our thriller opening, we swiftly moved on to editing the footage. The first process was spent reviewing, cutting down and importing our footage into fcpx, we used short fade transitions as we want our sequence to be fast paced and to have lots of short, sharp cuts.

We were adding certain sound effects to make our opening more authentic such as the sound of rain and a gun shot sound . The only issue we had with this stage of the editing process was matching the timing of the sound with the image, we solved this issue by zooming into the timeline, to get a closer match.
Next we added the sniper scope effect  to our footage

We used the colour correction tool in final cut and gave this footage a green tint as this colour is used in night vision scopes.

The camcorder effect built into final cut was great as it enabled us to get that home made static look.

We then added the background squares effect  which made the footage animated and distorted. We then added colour corrections . we also had to change the Mid-tones, shadows and highlights to get the desired look.
Next we added the letter box effect
Once we imported our Music into Final Cut we could then go on to adding titles as seen below:
